At about 3 a.m. on Jan. 15, 1978, Ted Bundy broke into the Chi Omega sorority house at Florida State University. Bundy, who escaped from a Colorado jail cell two weeks earlier, went on a violent rampage, fatally attacking two women by bludgeoning them with firewood and strangling them with stockings.

Noted sportswriter and college football TV personality Tony Barnhart presented his new book, The 19 of Greene: Football, Friendship, and Change in the Fall of 1970 to a packed house on Dec. 5 as the final “Meet the Author” guest of the year for the Georgia Writers Museum (GWM).

The Georgia Writers Museum (GWM) welcomed its new 2023-24 Junior Board last Friday, made up of Rebekah Esau’s Service Leadership class at Putnam County High School. The GWM’s third junior board will create a class project involving the museum during the school year.
