Janet Washington Tobler

Janet Washington Tobler, age 68, of Eatonton, GA, passed away peacefully the afternoon of Wednesday, August 17, 2022 with the love of her family and closest friends surrounding her at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

A native of Jackson, GA, she was born November 13,1953 to the late Stanley Allmon Washington and Sue Potts Washington.

She was a graduate of Jackson High School and Georgia Baptist School of Nursing. Her career was exciting and decorated with accomplishments for a 47-year duration, until her well-deserved retirement in March of 2019. She met and married the love of her life and best friend, Neal Richard Tobler of Eatonton, GA who preceded her in death in February of 2018. After retirement she enjoyed keeping her grandson, Ezra, kayaking on Lake Oconee, and working in her garden. She was an active member of Lakepoint Community Church in Eatonton, GA. She will be missed by her daughter, Kristin Frentz (Mason) of Loganville, GA; step-daughter, Leah Hervis (Dominic) of Lawrenceville, GA; step-son, Troy Tobler (Celeste) of Loganville, GA; sister, Susan McCart of Jackson, GA; brother Stanley Washington (Amanda) of Jackson, GA; grandson, Ezra Frentz of Loganville, GA; step-grandchildren, Alyssa Hervis of Lawrenceville, GA; Adam Tobler and Jonathon Tobler both of Loganville, GA and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Janet’s Life will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakepoint Community Church, 940 Harmony Road, Eatonton, GA 31024 with Rev. Rob Raynor and Jonathon Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends and family at the church from 1:30 p.m. until time for the service.
