The actors, crew members, and directors have put in the work, and now, all are ready for audiences to see their results.

The Plaza Alliance for the Performing Arts (PAPA) is bringing Steel Magnolias, a classic Southern story known and loved by so many, to life on The Plaza Arts Center stage, and everyone is eager to turn on the charm for appreciative live audiences.

Local theater is important because it encourages people of all ages to showcase their talents, enjoy the many aspects of play production, and experience the thrill of live theater.

And nothing makes a bigger difference for a production than when the theater is full for the performances. Actors and actresses truly feed off the energy each audience member brings.

Steel Magnolias marks PAPA’s 78th production.

Since its inception in 1978, PAPA has been putting on local theater with and for friends, neighbors, and colleagues. PAPA announces each upcoming audition to the public and all are always welcome to attend.

Steel Magnolias will open this Friday, April 19, with additional performances on April 20, 26, and 27 at 7 p.m., as well as April 21 at 2:30 p.m.

The cast, consisting of six of your neighbors and friends, is excited, the crew is ready, and the set has been built. Now, as audience members, you just need your tickets!
